Guests enjoyed classic brunch items, including French toast, chicken and waffles, omelet stations, and shrimp scampi. The menu also featured a fresh raw bar with oysters, shrimp cocktail, crab salad, beef tenderloin, smoked salmon, grilled vegetables, and of course, Effie's signature biscuits. New to the brunch experience was the unlimited bloody Mary bar. There, guests built their perfect bloody Mary with blue cheese stuffed olives, capers, pickles, and an array of spices and sauce. Local pianist, Isabelle Schrack, provided live music for entertainment.
Hotel Effie & Sandestin partnered with Pensacola's Ronald McDonald House Charity to give a local mom a Mother's Day to remember. Gabrielle and Bradley Harris are from Panama City Beach and recently welcomed two twin girls, Kyndall Faith and Kynslee Hope. The twins were born prematurely at just 26 weeks and are currently building their strength in the NICU, leading the family to RMHC. Ronald McDonald House Charity provides a home-away-from-home and resources for children and families of children suffering from a medical crisis. Needless to say, Gabrielle deserved a day of pampering. We invited her and her family to Mother's Day brunch, where they enjoyed all the tasty selections. Afterward, Bradley and Kylie, their seven-year-old daughter, received a $200 Sandestin Gold card and had the afternoon to explore the resort and The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Gabrielle was escorted to Spa Lilliana, where she enjoyed the luxury accommodations and her first-ever facial.
"For the first time in three weeks, I was able to enjoy myself, relax, and laugh. I am so grateful for today and the memories I was able to create." said Gabrielle. Hotel Effie and Sandestin are honored to have been a special part of Gabrielle's Mother's Day.
